How to Grow from Your Pain

He distinguishes acute trauma (single events) from chronic trauma (sustained over time), explains why "positive thinking" alone usually makes things worse, and outlines what genuine post-traumatic growth looks like: integrating the experience into a more honest, less defended sense of self rather than getting over it or wearing it as identity.
