This Harvard Experiment Made the Elderly Feel Younger in Just One Week
A retelling of Harvard psychologist Ellen Langer's 1979 "Counter-Clockwise" experiment: men in their late 70s and early 80s spent a week at a retreat carefully designed to look, sound, and feel exactly like 1959 — same music, magazines, news, and conversation. After only seven days, the men showed measurable improvements in vision, grip strength, posture, dexterity, and cognitive scores. Yogi (writing in Women Write) argues that the result suggests aging is partly a mindset, not only a biological one-way street.
