A December 2021 LessWrong post: Altair describes his slow ten-year transition from internet-nerd-who-sleeps-till-noon to reliably-asleep-by-10pm-and-up-at-6:30am. He acknowledges some of the shift may just be circadian rhythm changing between ~20 and ~30, but argues that the change required active choices about evening light, going to bed when sleepy rather than when forced, and learning to want to be awake at sunrise. Explicitly not framed as advice for people with serious sleep issues.
